Detrick Straight Rye Whiskey was originally released as a true four-barrel small-batch whiskey, distilled by Belle of Dayton Distillery and bottled at 104 proof. The whiskey was aged in just four 53-gallon, hand-toasted #4 char white oak barrels from the Ohio River Valley. This original expression helped establish the Detrick Whiskey line and was the first straight rye whiskey distilled in Dayton, Ohio since Prohibition.

Today, Detrick Rye has evolved into Detrick Single Barrel Full Proof Rye Whiskey. Rather than combining four barrels into each release, every barrel is now bottled individually at full proof, allowing the unique character of each barrel to stand on its own.

The original four-barrel Detrick Straight Rye Whiskey remains an important part of our history, with the individual releases and tasting notes preserved below.

Detrick Rye is now released exclusively as Detrick Single Barrel Full Proof Rye Whiskey.
