Belle of Dayton Distillery wins 1st Double Gold medal in Ohio’s history at San Francisco World Spirits Competition
Dayton, OH – (May 1st, 2017) – Dayton Gin has won a Double Gold Medal at the prestigious 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Forty-three of the most respected, experienced experts in the spirits industry convened at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco from April 21st through the 23rd, for the 17th Annual San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The 2017 Competition was founded in 2000 as a way to determine and award exceptional products in the spirits industry, and is now considered to be the most influential spirits competition in the world. More than 2,100 spirits were judged this year, representing the largest number of entries received in their 17-year history.

They are products that set the standard for all others of their type.” says competition director Anthony Dias Blue. “The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is considered to be the most influential spirits competition in the world.” The DOUBLE GOLD MEDAL designation is awarded to the very few entries that receive Gold medal ratings by all members of the judging panel.
